A Chinese future commission arrives in Mariannelund in Sweden. They have done their homework: Sweden is ranked 7th, China 112th. It's about happiness. But can happiness really be measured? This film can be viewed both as a contemporary satire and a poetic depiction of a condition common to the new global age, in rural Sweden and the Chinese metropolis alike.
