Acting
Chris Larner was born in 1959 and attended Burnt Mill school in his native town of Harlow in Essex before,in 1977,entering the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Since graduation he appeared in many popular television series,notably as Clingfilm in fire service drama 'London's Burning'. Additionally he has written several songs and musicals, the song'Getting Out' being used in the Morecambe and Wise pastiche 'The Play What I wrote'. In 1983 he married drama teacher Allyson Lee,their son George being born a year later,and they remained firm friends after their divorce,to the extent that,when Allyson was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis,Chris accompanied her to the Dignitas clinic in Switzerland for her to end her life. He dramatised the experience in his play 'An Instinct for Kindness',which has drawn both critical and popular acclaim.
