Acting
Giorgos Tsitsopoulos (1929 - 24 April 2006) was a Greek actor. He was born in Athens and graduated from the Drama School of the Art Theatre. He began his theatrical career in the company of Marika Kotopouli in 1955. He was honored with the Karolos Koun Award for his performance as Pastor Manders in the play "In Ibsen's Country", by Iakovos Kambanelis, which was staged at the Open Theatre and directed by George Michaelides. Apart from the theater, he also acted in Greek cinema, especially in its golden age, always in supporting roles, which made him even better known, such as in the films Mr. Pterarchos (1963), Something Burning (1964), Alice in the Navy (1961), Wedding Night (1967), The Groom from London (1967), The Barefoot Prince (1966), Wake Up Santa Claus (1969), The Parisian (1969), Olga, My Love (1968), Luxury Crazies (1963), Three Dolls and Me (1960), etc. In general, he served the theater and cinema scene with consistency and ethics.
