Jayson Kiensler is an amateur independent filmmaker from North Carolina, passionate about crafting emotional, character-driven stories across multiple genres. With a love for movies and a background in musical theatre, Jayson brings heartfelt realism and natural dialogue to every project. His current slate includes Young Justice, now in pre-production, and the horror sequel Ribcage II, which is in post-production. Jayson previously directed Calamity (2022), which was nominated for three awards including Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography; Ribcage (2021), which earned two nominations for Best Cinematography and Best Supporting Actor; and Boomer (2024). Whether tackling superhero ensembles or gritty slashers, Jayson aims to tell stories that are bold, grounded, and unforgettable.
