Marret led the French Antarctic Expedition in 1952–1953, which was documented in his film Terre Adélie (1957). He continued to create documentaries focusing on exploration and adventure, including La Grande Crevasse (1960). Marret's work is noted for its authentic portrayal of the challenges and beauty of remote environments, bringing the wonders of exploration to audiences worldwide.
